A PERFECT SEASON...is what Bradford quarterback James Canan and the Bradford Railroaders put together in claiming the CCC Title.

The Bradford Junior high football team displayed power and speed in their 38-6 win over Tri-County North in the CCC Junior high championship game at North.
Bradford’s offensive line was relentless giving the 5 different running backs for the Railroaders plenty of room to run free. James Canan, Bradford’s 8th grade quarterback alone ran for 210 yards on 25 carries and 3 touchdowns on the ground, while the stable of backs Luke Hafer, Corey Wrench, Dallas Cassel, Brandon Wysong, and Nick Rank ran for a combined 157 yards on 24 carries. The Railroaders also attacked through the air for 130 yards of Passing with Luke Hafer catching passes of 51 yards and 9 yards for touchdowns. Bradford ended the night with 497 yards of total offense.
Bradford scored first in the opening quarter when James Canan found Luke Hafer Sprinting down the sideline for the 51 yard touchdown reception. Canan and Hafer would hook up again in the second quarter giving the Railroaders a 2 touchdown lead.
Bradford’s offensive line anchored by Garret Turner. Bryce Arnett, Austin Lear, T.J. Pullins, and Brandon Wirrig kept the North defenders on their backs all night long giving Canan plenty of time to hit his receivers. Austin Krull for Tri-County North was the highlight for North on defense making several tackles for the Panthers.
Bradford’s defense played aggressive all night long. The Panthers only score came when Quarterback Billy Derringer hit Darrin Jackson on an 83 yard Touchdown pass with 5:57 left in the second quarter. After the blown coverage the Bradford defense held North to only 109 yards of total offense with 83 yards on the touchdown pass. Bradford’s Defensive line penetrated the backfield all night giving the linebackers free roam of the field. Luke Hafer recovered a North fumble and also intercepted a Derringer pass and Dallas Cassel also wreaked havoc on the Panther offense with an interception 3 sacks. Aaron Yohey and James Canan kept the Panther receiving core tied up all night with Yohey intercepting a Panther pass late in the fourth quarter.
Bradford’s Head coach Jim Canan, and assistant Jim Hart did an excellent job preparing the Railroaders for the Game. The Railroaders end the season perfect at 7 wins and 0 losses.
