Bradford Boys varsity basketball team defeated the Troy Christian Eagles 64 to 50 in hoops action on Tuesday night December 8th.
The Railroaders had 3 offensive players in double digits to defeat the Eagles. Bradford was led in scoring by senior Logan Looker who scored 17 points with help from fellow seniors Douglas Canan who scored 14 and Josh Williams who added 11 for the Railroaders.
Troy Christian had two players in double digits with Justin Moritz dropping in 19 points and Luke Chafin scoring 16 for the Eagles.
It was a steady effort by Bradford as it took control of the game in the opening frame for a 13-7 lead.
The lead gradually increased throughout the second quarter as the Railroaders did an excellent job defensively making key rebounds led by Senior Phillip Jones. Bradford pushed the lead to double digits at the half.
Troy Christian made an attempt to get back into the game in the third quarter and outscored the Railroaders 14-10 in the frame to pull within eight points with one quarter to play.
But the senior laden Railroaders, led by Looker, Canan, Williams and Jones, put together a 22-point fourth quarter to seal the contest.
Bradford was 18 for 28 from the foul line with Troy Christian shooting 1 for 2 from the line.
